Description
I led the end-to-end product design of Preside, a modern, mobile-first correctional facility management platform designed to streamline complex operational workflows, improve efficiency, and support the day-to-day needs of correctional institutions around the world.
As the sole product designer, I was responsible for shaping the platform’s user experience, information architecture, visual design, and interaction patterns. I designed comprehensive experiences across inmate booking and management, facility operations, incident reporting, scheduling, visitation, prisoner transfers and releases, and administrative functions. Particular attention was given to simplifying complex workflows, organizing large volumes of operational data, and creating intuitive interfaces that support accuracy, efficiency, and accountability in a highly regulated environment. I also established a cohesive design system with reusable components and consistent interaction patterns to support the platform’s modular architecture and continued growth.
Working closely with engineering teams and executive stakeholders, I translated complex business and operational requirements into thoughtful, scalable product solutions. Through ongoing collaboration, design iteration, and attention to technical feasibility, I helped shape Preside into a comprehensive, approachable platform capable of supporting multiple facilities, diverse user roles, and the evolving needs of correctional organizations.
